Kerri Monnerat
Mom, Educator

I have been a professional actor, educator, and business owner for over 30 years, but it wasn’t until I became a special needs mom that I found my life’s purpose. It wasn’t until I had to face down the true meaning of trust, control, and the actual possibility of losing my child that I discovered who I really am and what level of achievement I am capable of reaching.

I have taught thousands of students, put on hundreds of musicals, developed multiple theatre programs, and started businesses in Southern California, Colorado, and Philadelphia. My latest company, Colorado Children’s Theatre began as a small school in the foothills of Denver and grew into four locations, has won multiple awards, and touts hundreds of success stories. I have taught professional actors, am an award-winning actor and choreographer and educator, and a SAG accredited actress. I have studied with renowned teachers including Kristen Linklater at Emerson College, Karen Tobey, Members of the Stella Adler and Lewis Smith Academies. And I am a consultant for many new entrepreneurs trying to start a business out of creative endeavors.

My goal now is to be the best I can be for myself, my son, and all the parents struggling to not only survive but thrive in a world that is not yet ready to embrace everyone, especially those with special needs.

Alex Scardapane
Special Education Teacher

Hello! My name is Alex and for the past 8 years, I have had the pleasure of working with children with a variety of needs from learning delays, to emotional disturbance, to autism spectrum disorder. I recently moved back to Philadelphia after teaching special education in NYC and graduating with my masters from Hunter college. Over the years I have used an array of tools, in the classroom and at home, to assist with education and behavior needs. I have seen so many wonderful improvements both academically and emotionally that I wanted to share all that I have with the rest of the world. Whether your child has learning delays, special needs or just has a hard time following a schedule, I know my tools can help!
